Outdoors

I was so exited for this one, my first snowshoeing experience! I had been wanting to try it for a while, and after some life changes, I finally had the opportunity. The CAI section of Pavia organized a snowshoeing trip to Ceresole Reale, and I immediately signed up. I even signed up for the next one, which will take place the next weekend. Fortunately, the CAI section provides snowshoes for those who don’t have them, so I didn’t have to worry about renting or buying a pair....

During the summer I did not have much time for climbing or outdoor activities because of university exams and work on my thesis. But finally September is over and with it my last exams. Meanwhile, a friend told me about a climbing festival in Piemonte, the Valle Orco Climbing Festival. It sounded great, so I decided to join him. We planned to stay from Friday night to Sunday night. As soon as i finished my last exam on Friday afternoon, we set out and arrived in Ceresole Reale the same evening....

I went bouldering at Rio Tinello with a friend, and it was our first time climbing outdoors. The area is located near Chiarone, in Val Tidone (Piacenza). We spent the day tackling several routes, enjoying both the challenge and the excitement of climbing in nature. The weather was perfect and we had fun pushing on the rocks, enjoying the beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere of the valley. It was a fun and relaxing day, but I look forward to going back, this time more prepared....

A friend of mine had to return something to a friend in Clusone and invited my sister and me to join her for the trip. We agreed and the plan was to hike to Formico Peak and then have lunch at a friend’s cabin. The hike started well. We walked through the forest on a gentle path that was not too steep. Soon we reached a meadow called Pianone, where cows were quietly grazing....

The day before the hike, I was in the mood for a via ferrata climb, and I remembered that there were two routes near Lago Nero. It had been quite a while since I last hiked in the Piacenza area, so I decided to revisit the region. I found a great trail starting from Rocca d’Aveto that would take me to the summit of Monte Roncalla via the first ferrata, the Adolfo Ferrari....
